The History of the ACA

On March 23, 2010, the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (ACA) was signed into law and marked a monumental change in the health insurance landscape. In the years since, the ACA began to shape the health insurance market for employers around the country. Insurance companies were no longer allowed to deny individuals coverage based upon pre-existing conditions.
